Robert (Bob) J. Ramey ,82, of Mansfield, La passed away peacefully on September 23, 2020 after a recent illness. Born in Stirrat, WV to loving parents Frank and Louella Ramey. After he graduated high school and enlisted in the Air Force, he served as a jet engine mechanic until his honorable discharge.

Robert was a wonderful man that had a personality and a sense of humor that made everyone in his lifetime always have a special story to tell about him. Shortly after retiring from KCS Railroad in 2003, he married the love of his life and had many adventures travelling the country with her and their faithful sidekick Banjo.  Always making time to enjoy some of his favorite thing such as fishing, westerns and spending time with family.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Ramey and his parents.

Robert was loving and extremely proud father to his surviving children; Jeannie Varuso, Robert (Bobby) D. Ramey, Kimberly Young and Tracie Ramey. He held a special place in his heart for all of his grand and great grandchildren; Allen Martin (Logan), Daniel Martin, Tiffany Martin (Savannah), Josh Martin (Rose), Hannah Ramey, Nicholas Ramey, Tyler Bryant, Sydnie Bryant, Peyton Hatcher, and Jaxon Ramey. He is also survived by his sisters and their spouses; Glenna Warrix (Allen), Eloise May (Leroy); Barbara Pruin, along with a host of cousins, nieces and nephews that he loved and loved him dearly.

Invitation is open to family and friends of Robert (Bob) Ramey to join in on laying to rest and sharing memories of an amazing man that will be greatly missed. Service will be on October 3 ^rd from 2-4pm at the Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery in Mansfield, La.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital as it was a charity of importance to him.
