Bob Fester Rivers, of Shreveport, Louisiana, was born on June 7, 1940, in Zwolle, Louisiana, to Manuel and Della Rivers.  He passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the age of 84.  Bob was better known as "Shane" to his friends and family.

Shane was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sheila Malmay; and stepson, Buddy Fulford.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Shelbie Rivers, to whom he was married to for 38 years and together with for 50 years; his son, Bob Rivers Jr.; stepsons, Mark Fulford and Jesse Fulford; stepdaughters, Janet Sinclair and Anne Franklin; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Shane served in the Army and the Reserves for over 2 years.  He made his career in truck driving for over 40 years.  He enjoyed watching Nascar, as long as the Chevy was winning!  He also was an avid wrestling fan.  Shane loved spending his spare time hunting.  He was a character who loved a good laugh and always had a joke ready.  He much enjoyed a good conversation with family and friends.

Shane will be missed by all who knew him, but we rejoice in knowing that he lived a full life and is now at peace.

A memorial service will be held from 10 AM til 12 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71115.
