Billy Young, Sr. (80) of Blanchard, La.  Passed away unexpectedly on November 29,2025. He spent his life working as a skilled and talented arborist, a trade he took great pride in. His work, patience, and respect for nature touched countless people in the community. His passion for his work, friends, and family is what kept his life full.

Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Kathy Wyatt Young; his mother and father, Opal and Johnny Young, and numerous brothers and sisters.

Bill is survived by his two sons: Billy Young II and spouse, Tiffany; Shawn Collins and spouse, Tara. Grandchildren: Clint Collins, Billy III and spouse, Sadie; Aaron Young and spouse, Jacinda; Rachel Young and spouse, Hayden. Great Granddaughter: Genevieve Young. Sister: Brenda Everett. Brothers: Jackie Young and Keith Young. Numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved companion, Peaches.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 beginning at 10:30am at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport, La. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm at Centuries Funeral Home in Shreveport, La. where Bill will be laid to rest beside his loving Mother.
