Billy Gene Pannell, was born on August 29, 1955, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Billy Pannell and Helen Marie Laventure, and he passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in Doyline, Louisiana.

Billy was a Christian in faith.  He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and was so proud of his boys.  He loved being with friends, family, and friends that became family.  Billy retired after 40 years from Conoco Phillips.  Billy also had a deep love for music, especially live music.  He was the stage manager and honorary member of the band, 8-Track, where he would load in, set up, and load out, hundreds of shows over the years.  He was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed going on side by side rides.  Billy will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margie Pannell, of Doyline, LA; his three sons, Michael Reynolds (Megan) of Green Cove Springs, FL, Billy Cole Pannell of Doyline, La, and Christopher Peyton Pannell of Stanley, LA; one daughter, Kaitlyn Desadier (Jareth) of Minden, LA; four grandchildren, Drew and Caydence Reynolds, Peyton Pannell, and Cameron Desadier; sister, Carolyn Moore (Gary), of El Dorado, AR; and a host of family and friends.

A memorial service will be held for Billy at 4:00 PM, on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71115
