A memorial service to honor the life of Billy Don Carter will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 E. Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA, and officiated by his brother, Pastor Terry Carter.

Billy was born on November 23, 1958, and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 17th, 2025, after a lengthy illness.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Krystle Carter, his son, Patrick Carter, his daughter, Ashley Lopez, his father, Lowery Carter, and his brother, Mike Carter.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his loving wife of 42 years, Charlotte Carter; his son, Russell Carter and wife Kathy; his grandsons, Hunter Clarkston and fiancé Kailea Worsham, as well as soon to be arriving great-grandson, Colton Lee; Brayden "BB" Lopez; and granddaughter, Hannah Carter; his son-in-law, DJ Lopez; his mother, Velma Carter; his brother, Larry Carter and wife Wanda; his brother, Terry Carter and wife Beth Ann; his sisters-in-law, Janice Dumas, and Barbara Carter; special niece, Jennifer Womack, and fiancé Casey Bell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Billy was a proud member of the IBEW Local Union No 194 and retired as an electrician after 34 years. He loved fishing, and four-wheeler riding with his family. Billy was a simple man that loved his family with all his heart. He will be dearly missed by many whose lives he touched over the years.

Billy battled many challenges in his life, surviving cancer three times; the first time at the age of eleven. That didn't keep him from loving life though. He always made the best of every situation and didn't let it slow him down. We know that he is now completely healed, and reunited with beloved children, father, and brother.
