Obituary

Bevelyn Claire Stacks Shotts

A Holy Eucharist celebrating the life of Bevelyn, also known as Mom, Aunt Boo, MiMi and Ma Bev will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 21, 2022 at St. James Episcopal Church with Father James Yazell officiating.

Bevelyn was born in Shreveport, January 8, 1938 and transitioned to Heaven on January 16, 2022.  Bevelyn retired from Schumpert St. Mary's Place at the age of 65 and after 1 year, she decided retirement was too boring and began a second career working at Surgical Specialty Center/Specialists Hospital Shreveport for 15 years and then went to work PRN with Monogram Madness until her passing.

You would find Bev in her happy place on the Zero Turn Mower, mowing twice weekly and tending to her landscaping.  She never hesitated to jump into a boat for a ride around the lake or accept an invitation to go on any adventure or party with her family.

Bevelyn was predeceased by her parents, Robert & Mable Stacks, brother, Clifford Stacks, sisters, Loyce Knight and Joyce Giles.  Left to treasure her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Ronald Shotts, her loving daughters, Kandi (Rusty), Suzan (Mike) and Kerry (Mike).  She is also proud of her 9 grandchildren, Paul (Rebecca), Kristen (Clint), Adam (Holly), Brandon (Jessica), Jarrad (Jessica), Josh, Matthew (Talitha), Hannah (Joshua), Amanda (John) and 20 loving great-grandchildren with #21 on the way!  Bevelyn was also loved by numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's or St. James Episcopal Church.
