Bettye Jean Paulk, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 4, 2023, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on September 8, 1932, in Foules, Louisiana to Homer Blair and Hersie Pearson Blair. She was a graduate of Buckeye High School. She then married her high school sweetheart, Guy Winston Paulk on May 4, 1951. She was a member Haynes Avenue Baptist Church. She loved making various crafts, even making a special blanket and booties for every new grandchild. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Guy Winston Paulk; five brothers; two sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Vicky Floyd and husband Randy of Longview, Texas, Danny Paulk and wife Joyce of Lexington, and Tina Paulk Burford of Stonewall, Louisiana; Grandchildren Mitzi Davis, Mendy Holt, Megan Williams, Scott Paulk, Taylor Paulk Cour, Kyle Baker, Jessi Bass, and Garrett Bass. Also surviving are sixteen great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 5-7pm, with a short service at 7pm at Aulds Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport. A graveside service will be held at 11am Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Holloway, Louisiana with Bro. Jack West officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Williams, Jack Williams, Dusty Floyd, Josh Arnold, Tucker Holt, Tanner Holt, Jonathan Davis, Ty-Ty Holt. Honorary pallbearers are Garrett Bass, Kyle Baker, Scott Paulk, and Mickey Davis. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks for the wonderful care given by Regional Hospice Group of Northwest Louisiana.
