Betty Cupples Williams was born on May 8, 1940 and passed away on Nov. 18, 2022. She graduated from Byrd High School and Louisiana Tech in Medical Technology.  Betty worked in her field 39 years before retiring. She loved growing orchids, quilting, sewing and various other interests.  Betty had many pets and she derived extreme pleasure from her nationally certified therapy dogs, Hope and Belle. She was a member of St. Mark's Altar Guild and a past Directress of the Altar Guild.

Betty was preceded in death by her son, Jim V. Hamric, Jr., her husband of 26 years, Ken, parents H.R. and Marguerite Cupples, brother, H.R. (Bob) and sister-in-law Fay Cupples.

She is survived by her daughter Kim B. Hamric, brother-in-law Charles H. Williams, Jr., her stepchildren: Leta Allen Williams (Rachel), Wendy Williams Tumey (David, Andrew, Claire, Ben), Kenneth E. Williams Jr., daughter in law, Kristin Good.

A reception will be at St. Mark's Cathedral in the parlor at 10:00am followed by a service at 11:00am in the Cathedral on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. The clergy at St. Mark's will officiate the service.  There will be a private burial following the service.  Memorials may be made to the Altar Guild of St. Mark's Cathedral or the charity of your choice.
