Betty Jean McCurdy was called to Glory to be with her Lord and Savior on July 25, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.

She was born August 17, 1930 in Red River Parish. She was born one of five children to Henry Marvin and Ruth Morgan. She fell in love and married Mac McCurdy in August of 1947. She was an amazing, loving, and caring mother of 2, grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 10.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Charles Maxie and Billy Don Morgan.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Sara Huckabay and JoAnn Miller. Her adoring daughter, Judy Mitchell and son, Steve and wife Penny McCurdy.

Her grandchildren, Jeff and wife Tina Winham, Jill and husband Tom Czanstkowski, Donnie and wife Patti Mitchell, Amanda McCurdy, Kenneth and wife Gretchen Hedgepeth, and Ashley and husband Justin Collins. She is also survived and loved by 10 great grand children Lexy Winham, Sydney, Jacob and Ali Czanstkowski, Isaac and J.B. Mitchell, Taylin Collins and Braden, Kale and Rylee Parker.

Services for Betty McCurdy will be held at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be Monday, August 1st at 10am, to be followed by funeral service at 11am.

Private Burial will be at Hill Crest Cemetery in Bossier City following services.
