Obituary

Betty Jo Allums Faust went to be with her Lord on March 3, 2017.  Betty was born on May 24, 1936 in Hall Summit, Louisiana.  Betty had a wonderful childhood with her parents Mattie and Acie Allums and brother and sisters, Maxine, Morris, Judy, and Mary.  On February 12, 1955, Betty married the love of her life, Jerry Don Faust.  Betty is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Jerry, her son and daughter in love, Mark and Brenda Faust, and her daughters, Jerianne Edwards and Peggy O'Neill.  Betty is praising her God in the streets of Heaven with her loved ones who have gone before her; daughter Becky Lynn, son-in-love Johnny Kurt, and grandson Chaz Ryan.  Betty is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer, Daniel, Misty, Jason, Korie, Mark Anthony, Maggie, Ashley, and Zachary, and great grand children Gracie, Marc, Charly, Skylar, Conri, Talon, Rider, and Aspen, as well as all her many beloved nieces and nephews.  Betty's passions in life were her love for the Lord, her sweet husband, and her family, and serving everyone she knew.  If ever there was a servant's heart, it belonged to Betty Jo.  She loved the great outdoors and working with her flowers.  We have no doubt Jesus greeted her with "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

A Celebration of Life will be held for Betty on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at 3:00 pm, at Richland Hills Community Church, 7851 LA-1, in Shreveport, Louisiana.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's honor to John Hagee's Sanctuary of Hope Ministries which works to ease the suffering of orphaned children and unwed mothers whose choose life.
