Spring, Texas- Betty Jo Ballard Bolen, 90, passed away Thursday,

September 28, 2023, at her daughter's home in Dodson, Louisiana.

Betty was born January 16, 1933, in Tupelo, Mississippi to

Bo and Sallie Bishop Ballard. She grew up in Tupelo and resided

in her later years in Spring, Texas and due to illness moved to Dodson,

Louisiana to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

She enjoyed crocheting, piecing puzzles, picnics and spending time

with her family. Betty was Baptist by faith.

She leaves behind: one daughter, Cindy Green (Danny) of Dodson, Louisiana;

Three sons James Michael Bolen (Gay Lynn) of Spring, Texas, Robert K. Bolen

(Patty) of Centerville, Texas, and David Joe Bolen (Cassy) of Humble, Texas;

Fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great

grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Bo and Sallie Ballard; husband, Robert Bolen;

and son, Danny Paul Bolen.

A Memorial picnic will be 11:00 a.m. Sunday, October 22,2023, at

Village Creek State Park in Lumberton, Texas.
