Bertha Lea Cole – Sulphur, LA

Bertha L. Cole, 64, died unexpectedly February 13, 2021 at LSU Oschner Hospital in Shreveport, LA. She was born July 3,1956 in Pineville, LA and is the daughter of Eddom D. Herron & Willette G. Herron.

Bertha was the most kind-hearted and loving person that cared for everyone that she encountered. She always put others before her own needs or wants no matter what the cost was. Bertha especially loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grand daughter dearly. Being a single mother is one of the hardest jobs a person could have, and few could have done better than Bertha. She did with little help from anyone and was always there when they needed her regardless of the need. Simply put there was no one else on Earth like her.

Bertha's survivors include her four sons, Robert Cole & wife Diana of Midland, TX; Trevor Cole & fiancé Jennifer Simon of Sulphur, LA; Jeremy Cole & Ciarra of Omaha, NE; & Zachariah Sharp & fiancé Keri Brown of Louisville, TN. She also is survived by her 10 grandchildren Ryan Cole, Abigail Cole, Haleigh Cole, Ryley Cole, Brady Cole, Kaitlyn Cole, Lauren Cole, Isabella Cole, Genevieve Cole & Reed Phillips as well as one great-granddaughter Ensley Courville. She is also survived by two brothers Donald Herron of Alexandria, La, and Charles Herron of Ellisville, MS along with two sisters Debra Woodworth of Shreveport, LA & Rebecca Snyder of Turkey Creek, LA. She is also survived by many loving Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Church family.

She is predeceased by her parents Eddom and Willette Herron.

A memorial celebration of life will be held at 2pm Saturday February 20, 2021 at Sulphur United Pentecostal Church. The address of church is 2233 Moss Ln, Sulphur, LA. For those who wish to remember Bertha in a special way, the family is asking for you to make a monetary donation in her name to Sulphur United Pentecostal Church, of which she called home for 40+ years, in lieu of flowers.
