Shreveport, LA - Benny Lloyd Thrailkill, age 78, died peacefully at his residence on August 26, 2014. Visitation will be held at Aulds Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 28, and a service celebrating his life on Friday August 29, at 9:30 a.m. at the Frierson Baptist Church, officiated by Lynn Mitchell, former pastor at Frierson Baptist Church. Benny was born in Haynesville, LA on July 21, 1936 and moved to Shreveport after graduating from LA Tech in 1958. He went on to pass the CPA exam and was currently a partner in the firm, Thrailkill & Thrailkill. He was past president of both the Shreveport Chapter of CPA's and the Louisiana Society of CPA's. He was also a member of the AICPA. He was an avid hunter and a passionate football enthusiast. Benny will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, papa and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy H. and Mabel A. Thrailkill. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 31 years, Karen; brother, Tommy Drew Thrailkill and wife Betty; daughters, Susan Harris and husband Don;Sheri Farmer and husband Keith; step-son, Jim Adams; grandchildren Jason Harris, Elizabeth Dageford, Sutton Farmer, Daniel Harris, Gunner Farmer, Addison and Garrett Adams, and a great grandchild, Madison Grace Dageford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
