Bennie Rogers Means, born February 5, 1938, in Homer, Louisiana, passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 88.

Bennie was born to Bennie and Minnie Rogers and was blessed with a joyful spirit and a genuine love for people. She loved life, loved having fun, and had a special way of making those around her feel welcome. Bennie truly never met a stranger. No matter where she went, she was quick to speak, share a smile, and strike up a conversation with anyone she met.

Throughout her working years, Bennie worked in retail sales, where she sold shoes. Her friendly and outgoing personality made her well suited for a career that allowed her to meet and visit with people from all walks of life.

Bennie will be remembered for her warm personality, her love of laughter, and the happiness she found in simply enjoying life and the company of others. Her ability to connect with people left an impression on the many lives she touched throughout her 88 years.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Bryan Butler and wife, Karen; brothers, Barney Rogers and Herbert Rogers; granddaughter, Leaann Butler; grandson, James Ray Butler; along with other relatives and friends who were blessed to know and love her.

Bennie's cheerful spirit and love for people will be deeply missed, but the memories she created and the joy she shared will remain in the hearts of her family and friends for years to come.
