On December 16, 1953, Bennie Ray Griffin was born the tenth of ten children to Edgar and Tisha Griffin. All the children were taught at a young age to trust God above all thing and to accept Christ as personal Savior. Bennie did exactly that and was baptized at a young age at Lake Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Harry Blake.

Bennie was a quiet and loving person, who found comfort in walking in the woods, enjoying nature with his ready rifle prepared to bring home a local rabbit, squirrel, or deer.

On March 24, 2024, the Lord called him by name, and he answered his call to take his rest from labor to reward, love and compassion.

Bennie was proceeded in death by his parents Edgar and Tisha Griffin, Brothers Irvin and Emmanuel Griffin, Sisters Donna Clark, Barbara Slatter and Beulah Smith.

Bennie was blessed with three children, Timberly and Benjamin Griffin (Carloyn), and Maryan Griffin (Mary). Bennie leaves to cherish his memories; two brothers Rev. Charles Griffin (Mary) and Louis Griffin; two sister, Dorothy Baxter and Mary Jones; brother-in-law Pastor Leon Slatter; sister-in-law Joyce Griffin and a host of nieces and nephews.
