Benjamin Camba Beton "Tatay", age 91, passed away at Willis-Knighton (North) Hospital, Shreveport, Louisiana, on Saturday, September 29, 2018, after a short illness.

Benjamin was born November 20, 1926, in the town of Jelicuon, Province of Iliilo, Philippines.  He began working as a Farmer and gained acres of land through Agrarian Reform Programs. He met Epifania, the love of his life, in 1955 and married her on May 15, 1955.

Together, he and Epifania worked hard most of their lives on their rice farm and raised their eleven children. Following his wife and children, Benjamin immigrated to the United States in March 1990 to join them in California. In 2010 Benjamin and his wife relocated to Shreveport to join some of their children and grandchildren that had moved here. Benajmin enjoyed travelling, fishing and spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Epifania, his sister Tedura and nine children; Mary (Felipe), Emma (Tom), Asuncion (Terry), Victoria (Rodney), Imelda, Jet (Esther), Quilyn (Jeff), Edgar (Mary), and Abon (Lou Wella). Benjamin adored his 20 grandchildren as well as his 14 great-grandchildren.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents Simon and Asuncion Beton, his sisters Oliva, Letisha, his brothers Silverio, Seriaco, Lucricio, Teoduro and his sons Lucricio and Benjamin Jr.

Services will be held at 5:00 pm on 19 October 2018 at Aulds Funeral Home 7849 E. Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA. 71115.
