Ben E. Martin, age 70, of Keithville, Louisiana, was born January 10, 1953, in Gladewater, Texas, to George and Gladys (Wray) Martin and he passed away at his home on Friday, December 8, 2023, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Two of Ben's favorite things to do were riding his motorcycle and mowing his grass!

Ben was proceeded in death by his daughter, Melissa Ann Martin Harris.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kim Martin; son Adam Martin and his wife, Jamie; grandson, Ryder Martin; granddaughter, Finley Martin; and numerous other family members and dear friends.

"The Dash"

I read of a man who stood to speak at a

funeral of a friend.  He referred to the dates

on the tombstone, from the beginning to the end

He noted that first came the date of birth, and

spoke of the following date with tears.

But said what mattered most of all was the dash

between those years.  For the dash represented all

the time they spent alive on earth and now

only those who loved them, knows how much

that little dash is worth.

For it matters not how much we own the cars,

the house, the cash, what matters is how we

lived and loved, and how we spent our dash.
