Belinda Sue "Susie" Shofner, age 74, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in her hometown after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born on July 24, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late Clyde Douglas, Sr. and Betty Jean McGowan Rankins. She attended Woodlawn High School, married and raised three children. She spent most of her life in Shreveport but eventually made her way to Texas before settling in Arkansas.

In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her two sisters, Dollye Terral and Ginger Nolen and her grandson Zachary Wilhite.

She is survived by her children, sons, Denny Shofner (Deanna), Bobby Shofner Jr. (Caley) and daughter, Patty Wilhite (Rex). Her grandchildren, Denny Shofner, Jr., Shelby Shofner Duncan, Peyton Shofner, Lauren Shofner, Jacob Wilhite, Matthew Shofner, Mason Wilhite and Tyler Wilhite and her great grandchildren, Victoria, Logan, Porter and Landry. She also leaves behind her brother, Clyde Rankins, Jr. (Cindy) and her beloved partner, Coy Bradshaw, as well as many extended family members who will miss her dearly.

She will be remembered for her kind heart and easy going and gentle spirit. She loved fishing, cooking and baking, but more than anything, she simply loved spending time with her family. She referred to her grandkids as her "little stinkers" and loved them with all of her heart.

A graveside service in her honor will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, beginning at 12:00pm, at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, Louisiana.
