Services celebrating the life of Barry Clyde Eakin, Jr will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Kings Highway Christian Church in Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Aulds Funeral Home. Barry was born in Shreveport, LA on March 13, 1976 and was taken from our midst way to soon on October 21, 2018. Barry was a self-employed painter and drummer extraordinaire. Barry was a loving father who was very proud of his sons, ecstatic grandfather, loyal friend, amazing musician, avid lover of rock music (even country at times) who also enjoyed flea markets, garage sales and always looking for the perfect car (well, until he could flip it and get a new one). He was a constant and loyal supporter of the local music scene for over 20 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Barry Sr and Carol Renee Eakin; Grandmother, Faye Eakin; children, Christian and Lance Eakin; grand-daughter Lillian Grace Eakin; sisters, Tami Fontenot , Erica Murrell and her husband Mark, and Melanie Dimiceli and her husband Paul; nephews, Toby and Trey Fontenot; niece, Tara Fontenot ; His Rock and fiancee' Laurie Self; numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family and friends.
Barry's passion in life was music. He also leaves many brothers and sisters in his music family gained from those who shared his love of music. Barry was extremely proud of his band "Tap Dead Sinner." Among his many friends, too numerous to name, who will miss him dearly are Dale, Matt, Jessica, Staton, Scott, Jimmy, Kevin, Kelby, Leighton, Yvonne and Nikki.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Kings Highway Christian Church or Bikers Against Child Abuse.
