Barbara Bridges Medcalf of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at the age of 86. She was born on April 5, 1936.

A memorial service is scheduled at 3:00pm Monday, November 28, 2022, at Aulds Funeral Home 7849 E. Kings Hwy. The family suggests casual attire. Fr. Mark Watson with St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church will be officiating. For those who would like to stay, a rosary will be said following her service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Mamie Bridges, her husband Max Medcalf, her son Eddie Medcalf, her beloved grandson Philip Tuminello and her close nephew Kenny Mahan. She is survived by her sister, Audrey Ortega, son Al Medcalf and daughter Missy Tuminello. She is also survived by three grandchildren Jason Medcalf, Jenny Tuminello and Lindsey Blount and great grandchildren Liam and Beckham Blount. Also numerous nieces, nephews and friends who were family.

Barbara, a devout Catholic, was a loving wife and mother. She had a knack for opening her heart and home to all of her children's friends. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She loved animals, with us growing up with capuchin monkeys, rabbits, a raccoon (to name a few) and too many dogs to count!

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Heart of Hospice, most notably her nurse Jessica.
