Barbara Jean Harper,87, of Bossier City, LA went to be with Jesus on December 15,2019. Barbara had been fighting Dementia and other illnesses for several months.

The graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery at 10 am on December 21st. Visitation will be held at Auld's Funeral Home  in Shreveport from 6-8 pm on December 20, 2019. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Auld's Funeral Home.

Barbara was born in LaGrange, GA  December 11,1932. Barbara was married to William (Bill) Harper, Sr on January 26, 1950. They were married 33 years until Bill passed away on February 26, 1983.

Barbara loved to cook. Her children loved her homemade noodles, biscuits and banana pudding!  No one will ever be able to make banana pudding quite like she did.

She also loved camping and trout fishing.  Her children have many fond memories of yearly camping trips with their parents.

Barbara absolutely loved to crochet. She made countless scarves and headbands that were given to children in Guatemala on mission trips her son Joe and wife Connie went on.

Barbara is survived by Pamela Harper of Blanchard, LA, William Harper, Jr of Clarence, LA, Jeff Harper and wife, Sue of Quincy, IL, Patricia Harper of Bossier City, LA, Joe Harper and his wife Connie of Longview, Tx and Robert Harper of Bossier City, LA and her loving Boxer, Sophie.

She had 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Barbara is preceded in death by William Harper, Sr (husband), Eva Harper (daughter), Roy Glore, Jr, Roy Glore, Sr, Ruby May Glore, Ashton Basco and Doris Glore, Mary Ann Glore Peal, and Bobbie Glore.

The family of Barbara Harper wishes to thank the Carpenter House for taking extremely good care of their mother during the last week of her life.
