Barbara Jean Breland of Keithville, Louisiana died peacefully August 9, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana at the age of 60. She was born August 7, 1965 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Barbara, aka "Barbie", was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She took care of everyone around her and loved her grandkids dearly.  Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who love her, especially her family, who were the center of her life.  There are not enough words to describe how much she will be missed.

She is preceded in death by her mother Karen Layne Seals and Sister Michelle Lynn Simmons.

She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Bill Breland of Keithville, Louisiana. Father Oliver Carl Simmons of Dallas, Georgia, Step-Mother Catherine Jane Simmons of Dallas Georgia, Bonus Mother Betty Bennett of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Father and Mother In-Law Jay and Betty Breland of Keithville, Louisiana. Daughters Shandi Marie Thompson of Biloxi, Mississippi and Elizabeth Nicole Bennett (husband David) of Livingston Texas. She has four brothers Stephan Carl Simmons of Sanford North Carolina, Jon Moody of Clinton, Mississippi, John William Cheick of Clinton Township, Michigan and Jeffrey Abraham Cheick of New Baltimore, Michigan. She has two sisters Cheryl Doreen Simmons of Roseville, Michigan and Allyson Catherine Westmoreland of Marietta, Georgia. She has seven grandchildren Aiden Dawson Bennett of Livingston, Texas, Lily Sierra Bennett of Livingston Texas, Tamber Elice Finley of Biloxi, Mississippi, Serenity Mae Finley of Biloxi, Mississippi, Zavion Noel Wells of Biloxi, Mississippi, Mallory Ethan McCrory of Biloxi, Mississippi and Phoenix Tobias Cooley of Biloxi, Mississippi

A memorial service will be held at D'Iberville Memorial Park 11041 Gorenflo Rd in D'Iberville, Mississippi on August 29th 2025 at 11:00AM and a Celebration of Life will be held on the Biloxi Beach August 30, 2025.
