Barbara was born on April 22, 1941 to Willie and Alice Rhodes in Hebert, Louisiana. She passed away on September 24, 2023 after fighting her battle with Lewy Body Dementia in Farmerville, Louisiana.
Barbara grew up in Hebert, Louisiana and Houston, Texas. One summer Barbara and her sister, Sue, came to visit their Aunt Mable in Monroe, Louisiana. That is when she met Glen Ray Beebe, her husband of 50 years. Barbara lived in West Monroe until 2 years ago. She moved to Farmerville, Louisiana and resided at Arbor Rose and Arbor Lake.
Barbara retired from Regions Bank where she worked for 25 years. She had many names: Barbara, Barbara Ann, Ban, Momma and Grammy.
She loved watching birds and collecting bird houses. Barbara also enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. Oh yes, and if you took her to an estate sale, garage sale, or a cool junk shop, plan on staying for a while. Barbara was going to look at everything!
Barbara loved children. When her daughters, Tammy and Jennifer, were in elementary school, she was involved in the PTA. She helped raise two of her grandchildren, Dylan Hamm and Adrianna Cormier. Barbara also helped take care of one of her nieces, Tara Rhodes.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Earl Rhodes and Alice Hazel Morris Rhodes, her husband, Glen Ray Beebe, her daughters, Mary Alice Beebe and Jennifer Beebe Cormier, Step Grandson, Daniel Dalton Higginbotham.
