Audie L. Hayes, age 90, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at a local hospital. She was born on May 19, 1929 in Marthaville, Louisiana to Emery and Bessie Pearlie Lewis. Mrs. Audie loved to spread hospitality and enjoyed cooking for people, making sure that everyone was fed. She also loved to crochet and make items for her friends and family. The biggest part of her life was loving Jesus and teaching her family how to follow the Lord. She adored her grandchildren, babysitting them every chance she got.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joel Hayes, Jr.; son Ricky Joe Hayes; grandson Randall Shane Hayes; two brothers, Walter and Fred Lewis and a sister, Alice Lewis Davis.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Shelia Zator and husband John, and Lisa Craft; grandchildren, Amanda Hayes, Amy Robinson, Casey Craft, Ashley Osborne; great-grandchildren, Brittany Hayes, Jason Nall, Isabella Nall, Anna Claire Nall, Carter Robinson, Kynlee Robinson, and Adeline Craft; sister, Ora Lewis Green. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

Visitation for Mrs. Audie will be from 1- 2pm at Northpoint Community Church in Bossier City on Thursday, June 6, 2019. A funeral service will follow in the church at 2:30pm, with interment to follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery in Shreveport. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Christus Highland Hospital staff, and Grace Home hospice.
