IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ashley Nicole
"L'Il Bit" Carter Lopez
May 19, 1989 – June 13, 2024
Today we celebrate the life of Ashley "Lil Bit" Carter Lopez. Ashley was born May 19, 1989, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Billy and Charlotte Carter and departed this world unexpectedly on Thursday, June 13, 2024. She married the love of her life, Donald "DJ" Lopez, Jr. on June 20, 2015.
Ashley was a kind, loving, head-strong, and committed person. Filled with energy, she was always on the move, as she hated to sit still for too long, and would often travel with her family to Magic Springs, in Hot Springs, Arkansas or to Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Her two special places were Mena, Arkansas and Broken Bow, Oklahoma and thought of them as her second home.
Anyone that knew Ashley knows that she loved her family and her fur babies more than life itself. She was always ready to fight for them. "L'il Bit" was feisty like that. Even through her health struggles, she never let it show or stop her from doing what she needed or wanted to do. She was very tough in that aspect...very tough in that aspect.
Today we celebrate her strength, love and compassion, and her persistence to never give up.
Ashley left many friends behind in this world, but she also left behind her world, her family. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Patrick Carter in 1985 and Krystal Carter in 1986.
She is survived by her parents, Billy and Charlotte Carter; husband, Donald "DJ" Lopez, Jr.; two sons, Hunter Lee Clarkston and Braden Michael Lopez, all of Haughton, Louisiana; her fur babies, Boss, Pearl, and Kilo, as well as a host of family and friends that loved and adored her.
We are not here to mourn Ashley's passing, but to remember and celebrate the life she impressed upon us all. The light she shone and the love she gave. R.I.P. Ashley "L'IL Bit" Lopez. You are greatly loved and will forever be missed.
