A Mass of Celebration for the life of Arthur E. "Boni" Derbonne will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Alexandria, Louisiana, with The Very Reverend Rich Snow officiating. Inurnment will be in the St. Timothy Episcopal Church Columbarium.

The family requests that visitation be observed in the parish hall behind the church Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Arthur, 68, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. He was an organ donor and asked that whatever was needed be used. From such a generous man came his final act of unconditional generosity.  Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur E. Derbonne, Sr. and Lorena Lawrence Derbonne, his sister Kathy Derbonne Yaryan, and his brother-in-law John Eskew.

Those left to cherish Arthur's memory include his partner and best friend Hylan Wells; his son, Arthur E. "Trey" Derbonne III and Trey's mother, Pam Mitchamore; sisters Diane Ayers (James) and Gayle Eskew Derbonne; brother David Lawrence Derbonne; three grandchildren, Briley,
Kamden, and Levi, as well as a host of other family and treasured friends.

Arthur leaves myriad amazing memories, mostly created with his partner Hylan; friends, Charlotte and Stacy; David, Mellany, Bea, and Nancy, and Dickie.

We wish to express our deepest gratitude to the Bienville Parish EMS, Willis Knighton Pierremont ICU with heartfelt thanks to Registered Nurses Imane and Miranda, Sarah and Peyton, Coral, and Marie. Their kindness, caring, compassion, and skill in caring for Arthur was truly exceptional and they are outstanding examples of what makes a great nurse.

During Arthur's service attendees will be offered the opportunity to share a brief favorite uplifting story about Arthur, so if you have one to share, please prepare as we only have time for a few.  If you wish to wear a Harley shirt, please feel free to do so. This is Arthur's Celebration and we
want it to be joyful!
