Arthur Earnest Banzhof Jr. passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at LifeCare Hospital in Shreveport, LA.  He was born on October 5, 1936 in Shreveport, LA.  He graduated from Fair Park High School in 1954 and received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 1960.  He began his career at J.B. Beaird Co. as a Project Engineer.  In 1968 he accepted a position has the manufacturing engineer at General Electric in Schenectady, N.Y.  Arthur retired from General Electric as the Department Manager of Health, Safety and Environmental Matters in Schenectady.  Upon retirement he moved to Houston, TX and then to Ajijic, Mexico for 13 years.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Earnest Banzhof, Sr. and Buena Bailey Banzhof and his sister Mary Elizabeth Banzhof.  He is survived by his daughter Tracee Lyn Frybarger and husband Mark, son Carl Edward Banzhof and wife Monika; sisters Alice Lyn Banzhof and Deborah Gail Feldman, grandsons Colton Edward East and wife Marie, and Ari Raghu Banzhof, granddaughter Brandy Michelle Frybarger and Adrianna Banzhof great granddaughters Madysen, Mia, Evelyn and Camille.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11:00 am at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 E. Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA 71115
