Anna Lee Wheeler March 14, 2011 – January 15, 2026
Anna Lee Wheeler, our sweet and precious daughter, was embraced by the healing arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 15, 2026, and her light shines in our world.
Born in Bossier City, Louisiana on March 14, 2011, Anna is deeply loved in her home of Benton and throughout the surrounding community, spreading endless sunshine to her family and everyone around her. She lives with remarkable contentment, pure happiness, and an infectious spirit that lights up every moment, alongside the challenges of Williams Syndrome and lifelong cardiovascular issues. She is known for her always-bright, beaming smile, her love of being out and about—especially cheering and soaking up the fun at the softball field—her delight in music and drums, and her love and excitement for bees. Among her sweetest joys is collecting keys or anything that jingles, often delighting in “borrowing” them from others who, before long, happily hand them over whenever they see her. Anna’s outgoing joy and always-upbeat spirit warm and welcome everyone she meets with open-hearted happiness.
Anna is the deeply loved daughter of Mathew and Amanda Wheeler of Benton, Louisiana. She is the treasured little sister to her devoted big sister, Abigail, who loves her endlessly. She is dearly cherished by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Donna McKenzie; paternal grandparents, Ben and Virginia Wheeler; her aunts and uncles James and Stephanie, Charles and Samantha, and Joey and Barbara; uncles Ben Jr. and Robbie; and cousins Bryan, Melissa and Boomer, Kaitlin, and Abbi. Anna is also embraced by a vast extended family who wrap her in love every day, and she gives it back tenfold with her joyful heart.
With grateful hearts, we want to thank the incredible community that has surrounded us—the calls, texts, messages, visits, meals, and supplies have carried us through this unimaginable time. Your prayers, kindness, and love for Anna mean everything.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the physicians and care teams at Willis Knighton Health, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Stanford Children’s Health, and Ark-La-Tex Children’s Clinic, who supported and cared for her with compassion, dedication, and love, each forming a special bond with Anna.
A celebration of Anna’s beautiful life will be held at the WK Palmetto Clubhouse in Benton, Louisiana, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, beginning with a welcome gathering from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m., followed by time together honoring Anna. Casual attire is welcome. All who loved Anna are warmly invited to join in remembering her light.
Anna fills our hearts with pure joy and unconditional love. We have been blessed by the many stories shared of how she brightens everyone’s day with her infectious smile and always-upbeat spirit. She is now free—drumming in heaven—and forever our Anna, radiant in God’s light.
