Anna Mamalis Holt

Shreveport, La - Anna Mamalis Holt was born on June 27, 1935 and passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2018.  Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Aulds'Chapel at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA.  Visitation will be held at 9:30 until service time in Aulds' Chapel.  Officiating will be Jeff Phipps, Minister.  A graveside service will be held immediately following the service at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, LA.

Anna was born in Athens, Greece and lived in the Shreveport – Bossier City area since 1978. She graduated high school in 1954 from the Kingdom of Greece, Municipality of Athens.  She proudly received her Naturalization into the United States of America on May 17, 1963. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Texas Christian University, Ft. Worth, TX.   She enjoyed her many years of teaching, tutoring and mentoring of students during her lifetime.  She attended Christ Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charalambos "Harry" and Georgia Mamalis and daughter, Susie S. Holt.

Anna is survived by her children, Kathleen Holt Bolander and husband James, Stefan E. Holt and wife Kelly.  Anna's greatest joy was being "Nanny" to her six grandchildren, Megan Woller and husband Alex, Alex Bolander and wife Kaitlyn, Katie Donoviel and husband Zach, Nikolas Holt, Sophia Holt, and Maximus Holt.  She is also survived by her sister, Dorothea Mamalis Gilbert and husband Ralph. She leaves behind, a host of extended family and dear friends.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Chhabra, Dr. Lillian Nelson and all who cared for her throughout the past several months.
