Ann Hamilton Matthews

Ann Hamilton Matthews, 70, of Shreveport, LA, passed away peacefully on July 26, surrounded by family.

She is survived by her best friend and the love of her life, her husband Les Matthews. Les and Ann were married for 23 years and their beloved dogs, Roscoe and Junebug, were always by Ann's side.

Ann was born June 16 ^th , 1952, to Eilene and Charles Hamilton and grew up in Monroe and Shreveport. She graduated from Shreveport's C. E. Byrd High School.

Ann spent most of her career in the optical business, and later enjoyed being a homemaker.

Ann loved animals, shopping for a bargain and was a great cook. She could tell a good story and had a wisecrack for every occasion. She could make you laugh until you cried.

A memorial service celebrating Ann's life will be held Friday, July 29 ^th at 2:00PM at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Ann's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Robinson's Rescue of Shreveport.
