Shreveport, LA - Anil Kumar Khare, P.E., Retired, age 74, passed away May 27, 2015 at his home after a battle with colon cancer. He was born April 19, 1941 in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, India. He married his wife Madhurima Srivastava on June 6, 1966. He attended the University of Lucknow, and the Indian Institute of Technology in Roorkee, India. He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Mr. Khare loved sports and followed cricket, boxing, and tennis. He also played the flute and harmonica. He was preceded in death by his parents Chandra Kant Khare and Savitri Devi Khare. He is survived by his wife Madhurima Khare, sister Meera Srivastava, son Vivek K. Khare, M.D., and wife Laura Khare, daughter Vinita Khare, M.D., son Vikram Khare and wife Robin Khare; grandchildren Michelle Khare, Madeline Khare, Deven Orisek, Daryn Orisek, Jacob Khare, Evelyn Khare, and Max Khare. Visitation will be held 3 p.m. May 30, 2015 at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate to the Salvation Army
