Andrew Gilbert "Buddy" Ochoa went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Memorial Service, with Honor Guard, will be held at Auld's Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 2:30 pm. There will also be a graveside spreading of the ashes at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Groves, Texas on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 11:00 am. Buddy was born on March 19, 1939 to Andrew and Caroline Ochoa. He later joined the Air Force and retired as an E6 Sergeant. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy. He also enjoyed working out at Schumpert Wellness Center and attending services at Woodbridge Baptist Church. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all sporting events. He is survived by his wife Vivian Ochoa, his son, Andrew Ochoa and wife Tami of Anchorage, Alaska. His son, Raymond Ochoa, of White Oak, Texas, his grandchildren, Christopher and Chelsea Ochoa of White Oak, Texas, Beau and David Funner of Anchorage, Alaska and Ashley Rice of Roseburg, Oregon, his great grandchildren: Michael, Layla, Kyla, Christopher, Cash and Natalie, his niece Kathy Boudreaux and his nephews, Paul and Bobby Vera of Port Arthur Texas, and Aunt Carol and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Caroline Ochoa, his sister, Joann Vera, his son Richard Ochoa, his nephew Romeo Vera Jr. and his cousin Frank Ochoa Jr. We would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at St. Joseph's Hospice Home Health for their wonderful care and kindness. We would also like to thank the many Doctors who helped take care of him.
