Alvin T. Cole, passed away at the young age of 45, at home after a lengthy illness on Saturday March 1, 2014. Alvin was born on September 4, 1968. The Family will receive friends at a visitation for Alvin on Thursday March 6, 2014 at the First United Pentecostal Church in Cotton Valley, LA. Funeral service will be Friday March 7, 2014 at the First United Pentecostal Church in Cotton Valley, LA. with Reverend Kenneth DeHart officiating. Internment will be at Cotton Valley Cemetery under the Direction of Aulds Funeral Home. Alvin is preceded in death by his mother, Grace Davis Cole, two brothers, Jeff Cole and Douglas Cole, and one sister Linda Cole. Alvin is survived by his wife Kristi Spencer Cole, and one son Spencer Douglas-Allen Cole, his father Albert Wesley Cole all of Cotton Valley, LA. And one sister, Penny Cole Franklin of Grand Prairie, TX. Mother-in-law Denice Spencer. Sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Scott Sharbutt. In addition, Alvin had many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles as well as a large number of friends he considered family that will greatly miss him. Alvin was a beloved and devoted husband and father. He worked and fought hard all his life. Although Alvin was not afforded the opportunity to serve our Country, he held those that served in high regard and was very devoted to our country and freedoms. For most of his life, Alvin worked as an Electronics Technician at Fibrebond Corp. in Minden. In his later years, Alvin was not able to work but his greatest joy was being daddy to Spencer and husband to Kristi. Alvin and his family greatly appreciate the care he received from all of his doctors and nurses. Alvin was also very appreciative of his bone marrow donor, Jon Miller. Pall Bearers are Jerry Thompson, Tony Taylor, Wayne (Tink) Cole, Charles Cole, Jason Cole, and Shawn Grooms.
