Alice "Faye" Joffrion Manint

Alice "Faye" Joffrion Manint, age 77, of Shreveport, Louisiana, died Monday, September 19, 2022, at Garden Park Nursing Home in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Faye had been retired for several years after careers as a beautician, sculptured nail technician, and co-owner of a family business.  Faye was born in Moreauville, Louisiana on June 9, 1945, with her twin sister, Kaye Joffrion Rachel, to parents, Albert Kelly Joffrion and Frances Pauline Joffrion.  Faye and Kay were the youngest of six children including Francis, Albert, Jr., Cora, and Johnny.  Faye attended school in Moreauville and graduated from Moreauville High School.  She graduated from beautician school in Alexandria and then moved to New Orleans to begin her career.

She is preceded in death by her father, Albert Kelly, her mother, Francis Pauline, and all of her siblings.

Alice is survived by sons Chad Manint and Brent Manint.  She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Amy Manint and grandchildren, Tent Manint and Coral Manint as well as brother-in-law, Ron Manint.

Faye's career developed as did her social life.  She created friendships and relationships in the New Orleans area.  She also met her lifelong mate, Skip Manint.  Skip and Faye married in Moreauville, Louisiana at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on November 4, 1967.  She, her husband, and her two sons were frequent visitors to the family home and relatives over the years as they lived in New Orleans and elsewhere.  The family lived for a time in a few locations in Texas before returning to Louisiana to settle in Shreveport to open their family business.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Escude Funeral Home, Moreauville, Louisiana from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moreauville, Louisiana.  Rosary will be at 9:30 AM by Reverend Brian Seiler prior to mass.  Guests are invited to attend social gathering in the church hall after cemetery services.
