Alfred Dee Elledge Alfred Dee Elledge died at the age of 101 on July 12, 2012 at 6:30pm at his home "the white house" in Shreveport, Louisiana, after a brief illness. He was born August 24, 1910, in Bailey, Texas. He was known for his love for his family, church and Sunday School Class. He was proud to be a "Texas cowboy" and was an excellent horseman who raised quarter horses and Brahma cattle. He worked for Dow Chemical for 34 years in Freeport, Texas, moving to Shreveport in 1976 where he has been a faithful member of Shreveport Community Church for 36 years. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie Elledge, mother of his two children, , and his second wife, Ada Boggs. He is survived by his daughter Frances Duron and husband Rev. Rodney Duron, and son Kenneth Elledge and wife Jennie, grandchildren, Rev. Denny Duron, Dr. Casey Elledge, and Stacy Richard, great-grandchildren, Destiny Deas, Dawn Chere Wilkerson, Denny Rodney Duron, Dez Duron, David Dee Duron, Dakota Duron, Annabelle Elledge, Elijah Elledge, Cassie Jo Richard, Carlie Jo Richard, Tristen Dupuis, step great-grandchildren, Chris Perry, Audre Pough, Tina Pough two great, great-granddaughters, Carolina Lee Deas and Ellie Jo Richard. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 1:00pm followed by a home-going service at 2:00pm, at Shreveport Community Church, 5720 Buncombe Road, Shreveport, Louisiana, Rev. Denny Duron and Dr. Casey Elledge officiating. Interment will be on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 2:30pm at the Randolph Cemetery at Randolph, Texas.
