Alford Wayne Watts passed away on June 24, 2017 in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was born October 1, 1937 to Henry Arthur and Fannie Mae Watts.
Alford was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James Watts and Buford Watts. He is survived by his brother Alvis Watts (wife Pamela), nephews Jackie Watts and John Watts and nieces Wanda Shuler and Terri Leifeste, as well as great nieces and nephews.
He was retired from the United States Air Force. He was very proud of his career in the military. He was a member of the ARK-LA-TX Airforce Security Forces Association. He volunteered in many areas including the West Gate Visitor Center at Barksdale. In 2009 he was presented the Volunteer of the Year Award at the Barksdale Air Force Base Awards Banquet.
In his younger days, he enjoyed playing in a band, the Desperados. He was an avid pool player as well.
Al Watts will be missed by many.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, July 5th at Aulds Funeral Home (7849 E Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71115) from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Following will be a graveside service at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
