Alan "Al" Grant Pierce, 76, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on December 29, 2020 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 pm with a memorial service at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Aulds Funeral Home.

Al was born in Bryan, Texas on March 8, 1944. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School and continued on to receive his Bachelor's degree.

Al proudly served in the United States Navy where he first developed a love for broadcast journalism. He then went on to be a local reporter and anchor for KTBS news for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his much loved dog.

Al is survived by his two sons, Grant Pierce and his wife Tho, Ryan Pierce and his wife Katie; his granddaughters, Chelle, Anna Li, Tristen and Cheyenne; his brother, Bill and his wife Claudia; niece Jamie; and the rest of his family and friends.

Al is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Audrey Pierce.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the ASPCA or to your local animal rescue.
