Funeral Services

We will assist your family in planning a funeral and choosing the options that suit your families needs and your loved ones wishes. We are able to assist you in holding services in a wide variety of areas. From our chapel, to your church, or at the cemetery, we are able to prepare a meaningful service to honor your loved one. Listening to your family and helping to arrange a celebration of your loved one's life, through whatever means you choose, is our main focus.

In addition to funeral services our staff also provides the following services.

Cremation Services

We offer cremation as an option for our families.  Cremation can be as simple as Direct Cremation, which is bringing the deceased into our care, handling all the documentation, handling the cremation and returning the cremated remains to the family.  It could also include cremation with visitation and a full funeral service using our Canadian Oak Hardwood rental casket.  We are here to serve our families with as much or as little as they desire.

No Cost Cremation Option

Your Gift Will Make A Difference

We recently partnered with LifeLegacy Foundation to offer No-Cost Cremation Services for those who qualify.

The only thing greater than the miracles made possible by anatomical donation is the need for more organs and tissues.  Your gift will make a difference.  You can help make miracles possible

Anatomical donation is almost always an option, even when transplantation is not.  Donated organs and tissues are place with only reputable academic, corporate and governmental research and educational institutions, such as University of Maryland Brain Resource Center, Harvard Brain Bank, Columbia University and the Mayo Clinic.

Donated organs and tissues are used for may types of research, including: cancer, Alzheimer’s, dementia, diabetes and Parkinson’s.  Areas such as biomechanical research, surgical device development and surgical education benefit also.

Donors and their families can take comfort in knowing their donated organs and tissues will be used to benefit so many others.

Who Can Donate

Almost anyone can donate for medical research and education.  Age, disease, or state of health does not necessarily eliminate an individual form being a donor, but can affect which tissues may be used.  Although donors are screened for infectious disease, including HIV and hepatitis B and C, even those with cancer, emphysema or heart disease can be research tissue donors.  Few other factors affect eligibility.

Pre-Planning

There are many advantages to planning a funeral ahead of time. By pre-planning a funeral, difficult decisions will not have to be made during a time of grieving and stress. You will be able to visit a potential resting site and have time to decide on and compare options. Thought can be made to whether or not cremation is an option you may want to choose. Your wishes can be put into writing to give your family direction when the time for the funeral comes. Pre-planning also offers financial benefits for most people, many of which are not generally known; such as our no cost Grandchildren Plan. Our staff will help you plan so that your family can carry out your wishes.

Online Memorials

We can set up an online memorial for your loved one. Our online memorials provide information for guests about the funeral services and also provide a tribute to your loved one. Guests will be able to obtain information about dates, times and locations of funeral services. Guests will also be able to order flowers, make donations and sign a guest book through the memorial. The family will have access to the memorial to add photos to create a photo gallery for their loved one. By providing information to guests about services, our online memorials help lessen the load on a family during a difficult time. The memorials also serve to pay tribute to your family's loved one.

Obituaries

We will discuss highlights of your loved one's life with you.  This information will then be used to prepare a personalized obituary to be published in your local newspaper for your loved one.  We usually submit the obituary and photo by e-mail, thus reducing the risk of your valuable photo being misplaced by the newspaper.

Veteran's Benefits

We will help you secure any potential veterans benefits.  These could include such item as honor guard detail, burial flags, government markers, a memorial certificate and a burial plot.

Social Security

We will notify the Social Security Administration of the death of your loved one. We will explain and help you apply for any benefits to which you may be entitled through Social Security.

Death Certificates

We will help you by preparing the death certificate for the doctor's signature.  We then file this with Vital Records and obtain certified copies, which can be important for insurance purposes as well a host of other issues.

After Care

Sometimes the loss of a loved one can be especially painful. We understand that the grieving process does not end with the funeral. We are here not only to help arrange the funeral, but to help families cope with the loss of their loved one. There are a wide variety of grief resources available, and we will help to point you in the right direction and begin the healing process.
